“Karōshi-Empire State Of Mind", London, 2011

“Karōshi-Empire State Of Mind” corresponds to the variety of materials, processes and textures, towards an energized thermal imagery inspired on ‘Brain Scan’ about human brain forms and shapes through stress.

I used thermochomic pigments, which change colour at specific temperatures and UV pigment, which glows in the dark, to picture the exploration of the connections between colour and knowledge, even as they intoxicate us visually. “Karōshi-Empire State Of Mind” is the representation of deadly beauty, ideal to be displayed in stressed work environments such as offices, GP’s Hall Reception or Hospitals.

 “Karōshi-Empire State Of Mind” is made of Acrylics, Silicone, Ink, Themochromic pigments and UV pigment. Dimensions: 3 pieces 28.7 x 21.7 x 0.06 cm, 1 piece 36.7 x 21.7 x 0.06 cm, 15 Petri dishes 11 x 1cm.
